I-CORE Research:

Photo(Electro)Chemical Conversion of Water & CO2 to H2, CO and O2

Solar hydrogen production by water photoelectrolysis (“splitting”) using metal-oxide photoelectrodes (iron oxide, titanium oxide, copper oxide, tungsten oxide) coupled to photovoltaic (PV) cells in a tandem cell configuration.

Research Group:

Dr. Alex Mehlmann, Dr. Shimon Saraf, Hen Dotan, Moran Gross, Oshri Blank

Other Research Areas:

Metal oxides: defects, transport and (photo)electrochemical properties; Materials and devices for energy conversion and storage (photoelectrochemical cells, photovoltaic cells, fuel cells, electrolysis cells); Thin films and heterostructures for oxide electronic devices (memristors, transparent electrodes and field effect devices).
